Melissa Rose RMT, Bowen
Melissa has been practicing Massage Therapy for over 6 years. She graduated
from the 2200 Hour Program at ICT Northumberland College in 2002. Melissa
started working at Personal Care Physio after graduation where she developed
her Massage skills and treated numerous injuries at the multidisciplinary
clinic. In 2004 Melissa began her journey with Bowen Therapy. Bowen Therapy
is a dynamic system of muscle and connective tissue. Gentle moves are applied
to soft tissue which stimulates physiological changes and energy flow allowing
the body to heal itself.
In 2005, pregnant with her first child, Melissa became a certified Bowen
Practitioner. In 2007 Melissa took a Bowen course with John Wilks specializing
in Back Pain in Montreal and also started working at the Halifax Osteopathic
Health Centre where she enjoyed treating clients with Massage or Bowen Therapy.
Only After 3 months of work Melissa was pregnant with her second child.
Since 2008 Melissa has been home with her two children but is ready to start work again. She is very excited to join The Total Kneads Massage Therapy Team and is very passionate about helping others.
Melissa is presently registered to take a Specialized Bowen Technique Course in July 2009 to enhance her Bowen skills. For more information about Bowen please visit www.bowenregistry.ca.
